The tour consists of the protected and enclosed area of the Oriented Nature Reserve called the Ferriere Valley. Once at the entrance (it is recommended to arrive 20 minutes prior to departure), show your reservation to the reserve personnel (either a printed copy or a digital copy on a device such as a smartphone) and you will be accompanied inside for a visit lasting a maximum of 30 minutes during which time, in addition to receiving historical notes on the history of the Valley and its particular microclimate, you will be shown: the 25 meter waterfall, the very rare Woodwardia Radicans, the majestic fossilised moss wall, the submerged iron concretions. If visible, the Spotted Salamander and the Spectacled Salamander and the biological cycle of the Italian stream frog.
Useful Tips
- The microclimate in the Valley is particularly shady and fresh, so bring a jacket to wear once you enter
- Wear trekking shoes or footwear with adequate grip
- Go to the bathroom prior to departure
- Bring a small bottle of water
